WHAT IS IN HOME CARE?
In-home care is non-medical care provided in the client’s home. It includes custodial care for elderly people and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as eating, bathing, and providing medication reminders. Caregivers provide companionship, socialization, and cognitive stimulation for seniors. Family caregivers rely on home healthcare services as a respite when they need to travel or work. The assistance of home healthcare caregivers allows elderly adults to remain at home when they are not ready to relocate to a residential care community. It’s also a good option for those who need assistance and are otherwise independent. The Amount of care can be personalized for each individual’s needs, from one afternoon per week to 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

THEY HAVE THE RIGHT TO AGE AT HOME
Many seniors prefer to stay in their homes, or “age in place.” But as people get older, a number of age-related conditions can make living at home increasingly difficult. Challenges such as cognitive decline and decreased mobility can make living at home without assistance difficult and unsafe. Destiny Life Partners, Caregiver can make aging in place much safer for seniors. Destiny Life Partners Home Healthcare can provide companionship and personal care assistance for those that prefer to age in the comfort of their own homes. There’s No Pl@ce Like Home…

FRIENDS, FAMILY, AND FOUR LEGGED COMPANIONS
Aging at home means that friends, family and neighbors can pop in at any time to possibly decrease loneliness and depression. If your loved one has pets, they can stay at home together and we can take them out for a walk. Pets help the elderly by improving their mood, encouraging exercise, giving them something to focus on, and providing constant companionship.
-
CONSISTENT ROUTINES THAT WORK
When your loved one is at home, they can set their own schedule. Rather than adjusting to an institutional timetable, they can choose preferred meal times and the routines they love. They can continue to enjoy hobbies, clubs and their favorite television shows, without fighting over the remote control. Consistency with their daily schedule can improve independence and functionality, especially with those affected by Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia.
